Library Services

The Antioch University Seattle library is located on the first floor of the Antioch campus, near the atrium. It hosts print, video tape, DVD and online collections to support the University's curriculum and its commitment to a diversity of learning styles. The collection is accessible through the online catalog on the library's home page. The Antioch Library also offers document delivery and interlibrary loan services, course reserves and computer access for faculty and students.

Extensive online research is available through Antioch's licenses to numerous academic databases. These come in various formats, including full-text journal articles and
e-books. Library staff are happy to help with access and research.

Beyond the on-campus print collection, any currently registered student or core faculty member can receive a library card from one public research library in the area. Please see a librarian for the reimbursement procedure before applying.

Antioch Library computers, scanners, printers and copy machine are available whenever the library is open. The computer classroom (Room 105) is active with regular computer trainings, classes, seminars and other skills in online searching. Most of these are free to all students and faculty. The library also provides an individual video viewing machine and DVD players on its terminals.

Computers

Access is provided to numerous computers, along with copiers, printers and a scanner. The computer classroom next door to the library hosts a number of computers, along with a presentation station and projector.

In addition to wordprocessing-related products, library terminals have bibliographic tools (to organize research records), statistical modules, presentation software and graphic arts programs. All computers provide direct access to the Internet and major database collections.

E-Bookshelf

For certain publications available just for the Antioch community, please go to your FirstClass account, click on "My Campus" and check out the "AUS E-bookshelf" conference. Titles include the New York Review of Books and Systems Thinker.
