Costs & Financial Aid | Scholarships
FAQ
How can I increase the number of scholarships in my database search results?
Simple! Just select multiple responses in search criteria or choose graduate or undergraduate and returning student. You’ll see the financial aid awards available regardless of program.
How do I apply for a scholarship?
Once you’ve received your search results, read the description carefully for application instructions. Each scholarship is different. Some organizations refer you to their website to complete an online application while others provide a contact person’s phone number or address.
How do I know if I’m awarded a scholarship?
Antioch’s scholarship database helps you identify scholarship opportunities, but the university is not involved in the application or funding process. Once you apply for an award, you deal directly with the awarding organization. Please check with the scholarship administrator to determine the status of your application.
Does a scholarship award affect my financial aid?
It might. Depending on your financial situation and the amount of aid you’ve received, a scholarship may reduce the amount of financial aid for which you’re eligible. Scholarships, though, are money that doesn’t have to be repaid, so you’ll still want to apply for as many scholarships as possible. Be sure, however, to contact Antioch’s Financial Aid Office with any questions about your financial aid eligibility and to report your scholarship awards.
Who can apply for scholarships?
Just about every student is eligible for scholarships, regardless of background, abilities or academic level. Scholarships are not limited to students with high academic averages or extraordinary abilities. Plus, they’re available to graduate students and adults interested in completing a bachelor’s degree as well as students transferring from other colleges and universities.
I'm not sure what my field of study will be. How can I look for scholarships?
Antioch’s scholarship database contains hundreds of awards. Many require no specific field of study.
What types of scholarships should I include in my search?
Most users select undergraduate or graduate here. There’s also an option for returning students. However, if you’re looking for a particular award, you can narrow your search results by selecting a specific category.
