How to Apply | Visiting & Auditing Classes

Want to learn more about a certain topic or what makes Antioch right for you? Then consider becoming a visiting student for a quarter or auditing a class.

Class registration is limited to selected courses on a space-available basis. You are not eligible for financial aid or for loan deferments.

Visiting Students

Visiting students may enroll in courses with or without intending to pursue a degree. Formal admission to the university is not required.

As a visiting student, you can register during the last two days of non-priority registration or during the first week of classes.

If you later wish to apply for admission to a program, specific admission procedures and criteria apply. Credits you earn as a visiting student are not automatically applicable to degree credits if you later are accepted into a program. For more information, e-mail the Admissions Office or call 206-268-4202 (or toll-free 888-268-4477).

Auditing Classes

You can take a class for no academic credit simply to learn more about an area of study.

To audit a class, you must:

  • get the written approval of the program director
  • register for the class through the Registrar's Office
  • pay the audit fee. Antioch Seattle alumni can audit classes for free!

For more information, e-mail the Registrar's Office or call 206-268-4771.
