Centerpoint Institute Senior Faculty

C. VecchioCarol A. Vecchio is co-founder and Executive Director of Centerpoint Institute for Life and Career Renewal. As a full-time career counselor since 1981, her professional development includes a degree in psychology, graduate studies in counseling and extensive training with Richard N. Bolles, author of What Color is Your Parachute?

Throughout her 25 years of career counseling, Carol has worked with people in a variety of fields and professions; one of her specialties over the past 23 years is assisting lawyers and the legal profession. She is a sought-out speaker and facilitator and has inspired audiences of all sizes throughout the United States and Canada.

Her purpose in life is to help others embrace and learn from the uncertainty that change brings and uncover their passions and create lives that they love. She is currently writing a book whose working title is "The Time Between Dreams: Successfully Navigating Change and Uncertainty." She balances her work with times spent with her husband, singing, cats, jewelry-making, home improvement projects and "urban homesteading."

Carol's time is limited for individual work due to her other responsibilities at Centerpoint. Her specialty is in working with attorneys and the legal profession but, when she can fit them in, she sees clients from a variety of fields. She does individual career counseling at a higher rate ($150 per hour, no sliding scale applicable) because of her limited time availability. She also does some retreat consultations.

S. MasonSusan Mason-Milks brings experience in both education and business to her work as a career counselor. She also believes in the importance of people learning to listen to their hearts, dream again about the possibilities and trust their intuition. Susan has an M.Ed. in guidance and counseling and also holds a certificate in career development from the University of Washington Extension. In addition to her work with Centerpoint as counselor, facilitator and program director, she does management and leadership training for several organizations in the area.
