Admission Requirements
This program expects that prospective applicants will attend an information session at Antioch or Centerpoint Institute for Life and Career Renewal. A Centerpoint committee reviews all applications, and potential candidates for the program are interviewed either in person or via telephone. This occurs within three weeks after the application deadline. Candidates are then informed of their acceptance into the program.
Criteria for Selection
Candidates who are accepted into the program will have some basic skills and experience. For acceptance into the individual track, you must show evidence of counseling skills. For the group track, experience is necessary in group facilitation. Centerpoint is looking for participants who will be resources for each other during the program and, at the conclusion, will be able to apply the Cycles of Change model in a practical way with their clients, employees and/or constituencies.
In addition, international participants are expected to have adequate English language proficiency and appropriate visa status before taking courses. Students should achieve one or more of the following English language test scores before they attempt to take any courses:
- TOEFL: 500 (old) or 172 (computer-based)
- MELAB (Michigan English Language Assessment Battery): 72
- SAT Verbal: 430
- IELTS: 6.0
- TOEIC: 650
