What is coaching?
Coaching is a collaborative process between the coach and the client. This unique partnership amplifies and accelerates self-discovery while promoting clarity, creativity and choices for the client. Coaching assists people with achieving and often exceeding their desired goals quickly and efficiently.
What can I expect from the program?
The focus is on developing and refining your core competences and professional coaching skills. It's highly experiential and transformational in nature, with a variety of learning formats: workshops, morning and evening teleclasses, and seminars.
How long will it take me to complete the program?
Completion time for the entire program varies from nine to 18 months, depending on the course load you choose to carry.
How do I earn the certificate?
You must attend and successfully complete all assignments, exams and other requirements of six courses: five core courses and either Theories and Practice of Coaching or another approved elective. The instructors evaluate you in each course on the basis of standards established by Antioch University Seattle and The Academy of Coaching Training.
Upon successful completion of required courses, you are certified by Antioch University Seattle and The Academy for Coach Training as a Certified Professional Coach (CPC). You are then well prepared to build a successful coaching practice, but accreditation alone does not guarantee the effectiveness of the training or immediate success as a sole practitioner.
Are there sources of financial assistance available?
Continuing Education students are not eligible for the university's financial aid programs in most cases. However, there are private student loan programs offered by banks and other lenders. Click here for more information.
