Robert L. Powers, M.Div., M.A., is a distinguished service professor emeritus of the Adler School of Professional Psychology (Chicago) and a licensed clinical psychologist. He was in private practice in Chicago for many years and conducted monthly public family counseling demonstrations at the Adler School. He is a past president of the North American Society of Adlerian Psychology and a Diplomate of the Society.

Jane Griffith, M.A., M.A.T. is a professor emerita of the Adler School and a licensed clinical professional counselor. She is a past president of the North American Society of Adlerian Psychology and a Diplomate of the Society.

Master teachers and therapists Robert L. Powers and Jane Griffith present the four courses together. They are co-authors of the books The Lexicon of Adlerian Psychology (2007) and a text on personality assessment titled Understanding Life-Style, as well as many professional articles. Now semi-retired, they continue to teach and lecture here and abroad. They are married to each other and live in Port Townsend, WA. Power’s therapy demonstrations in each course and at the PSAS annual conference exemplify a practice of public psychological intervention, unique to Adlerian Psychology, that both clients and observers find moving and helpful.
