Antioch Alumni Blog

One stop shopping for job leads, membership in LinkedIn and Facebook, alumni updates/comments, career advice, workshops, campus events, book club and the history of Antioch. Be sure and sign up for the blog so you automatically receive it every time it is updated. Specific Job Leads

AUS receives specific job leads on a frequent basis from companies and organizations that like hiring Antioch graduates. These leads are passed on to you when you sign up for the Antioch Alumni Blog at http://antiochalumniblog.com.

Career Services Help

You can have one free hour of individual career counseling (one per quarter) on the Antioch campus (or by telephone if you live outside the greater Puget Sound area) if you are:

  • Less than two years beyond graduation, or
  • Currently unemployed in the field of your Antioch degree.

You can have an extremely reduced career counseling rate ($60 per hour) on the Antioch campus (or by telephone if you live outside the greater Puget Sound area) if you:

  • Want more than one session per quarter and/or
  • Are more than two years beyond graduation and are employed in your field.

Appointments can be in person on the Antioch campus by telephone or e-mail. Regular office hours are held on Fridays from 4 to 6 p.m. Additional hours before or after those hours can be arranged. Free Class Audits

Alumni may audit one academic credit class per quarter at no charge if space is available and the instructor grants approval. Procedure: contact the Registrar's Office at 206-268-4772 or by e-mail the first day of classes to determine availability. If space is available, submit a Special Registration Form (form may be found here). See the schedule of classes for current course offerings. Audited classes carry no credit.

Discounts on Continuing Education Courses and Programs

Antioch Seattle's Continuing Education program offers many workshops open to the public and often these courses come with tuition discounts for alumni. To learn more about current CE offerings, visit this page.

"Journeys" Magazine

Graduates automatically receive "Journeys," the alumni magazine. If you do not receive "Journeys," please update your information with the University Relations Office. The publication also is available online or via e-mail. To receive your next issue electronically, contact Eric Warn.

To submit alumni updates for "Journeys" — or just to let the university know about a graduate who accomplishes something exciting, remarkable or unusual — also contact Eric Warn. If possible, please attach a digital head-and-shoulders photograph of yourself or a digital photograph that can be cropped.

Teaching a Workshop

Continuing Education works with alumni who are experts in areas where there is a continuing education demand. To be considered for teaching a workshop please send us a workshop proposal that includes the following:

  • Target audience
  • Title
  • Workshop description
  • Outcomes for participants attending the workshop
  • Number of hours needed

Remember that your fellow 7,200+ alumni represent a tremendous resource that can be tapped for advice on career or problem solving issues. Send Eric Warn an e-mail outlining the particulars and he will forward it on to other alumni.

Application Fee Waiver Form

If you refer someone to Antioch and they apply for admission, the $75 application fee is waived. However, there is a simple short form you must complete first and then give to the student so it can be submitted with the application for admission. If you would like this form, contact Eric Warn and he will send it to you as an e-mail attachment.
