Antioch's Mental Health Counseling program offers the structure and training to help you develop the capacities needed to understand and work with others as a professional counselor.
Beyond a rigorous academic program to develop your basic skills in counseling, there is also a focus on multicultural counseling, ethical practice and social responsibility, setting Antioch apart from other graduate schools in psychology. This master's degree program combines required courses and electives with independent study options and a supervised internship.
Antioch offers an Art Therapy concentration option for students. Antioch also plans to begin a Drama Therapy concentration option beginning Fall 2009. For information on Drama Therapy, please contact Admissions.
As a graduate, you are eligible for Washington state licensure as a mental health counselor. Antioch is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Antioch's Art Therapy programs are approved by the American Art Therapy Association (AATA).
