Do I need management experience?
You’ll need at least two years of relevant work experience to enroll in the Management program. This condition is broadly interpreted, and students in the Management program come from a variety of backgrounds and employers. Recent employers include: Army Corps of Engineers, AT&T, The Boeing Co., the Federal Reserve Bank, FedEX, Hewlett Packard, Microsoft Corp., Nike Corporation, Outward Bound, Pemco Insurance, Starbucks, Verizon Wireless, Virginia Mason Medical Center, the Center for Ethical Leadership and Washington State Department of Health and Human Services.
What kinds of work are alumni doing?
Management alums are working in many different businesses and corporations. Recent graduates are working as: manager of student services at a community college, vice president and chief operations officer at the Museum of Flight in Seattle, board member of Social Justice Fund Northwest, business manager at The Boeing Co. and director of the Family Center at Catholic Community Services.
How long does it take to complete an M.S. in Management?
If you enroll as a full-time student, you can finish your degree in 21 months. If you enroll part time, you have up to six years to finish your degree. There is also a graduate certificate in Business Leadership and Change Management that can take only nine months to complete.
Is there a thesis requirement?
There is no thesis requirement for the M.S. in Management but students may choose to write a thesis in their second year of study with their adviser’s approval.
How much does it cost?

Most students receive financial aid. Antioch also offers graduate assistant and work study positions. Scholarships are available as well.
Can I work while I’m going to graduate school?
Yes, most students in the Management program have full-time or part-time jobs. Class time is concentrated to accommodate busy schedules. All courses are held one weekend a month (Friday through Monday). Between class meetings, students work online in a collaborative learning community.
