Shana Hormann is
an Associate Academic Dean for 2008-09, with responsibilities in such areas as program development (especially in collaboration with the Muckleshoot Tribal College), campus diversity and liaison with the University-wide "Blue Book Commission" on faculty roles and academic policy. She was on the faculty of University of Alaska S.E. for ten years, teaching for the university in a maximum-security prison and in the outlying villages. Her extensive experience includes direct service, supervision and administration, as well as providing training in group dynamics, organizational trauma and healing, and sexual assault and domestic violence trauma — spreading understanding and increasing awareness of intervention techniques for social-service professionals, clergy, lay people, school personnel, law enforcement officials and judges throughout the United States and Canada.
