The B.A. in Liberal Studies with Teacher Preparation program allows you to complete a bachelor's degree and qualify as a K-8 school teacher. You need 85 to 90 credits to enter this B.A. completion program. Full-time students complete the program in eight quarters.

This is a great option for paraprofessionals, instructional assistants in public schools and others experienced in school settings or in work with children.

The program is designed for adult learners, with classes offered two evenings a week and all day Saturday. You're part of a cohort of 20 students where the emphasis is on collaboration, cultural pluralism, social justice and educational change. You have opportunities for extensive field experience in culturally diverse schools. To prepare you for Washington state elementary certification, the program integrates theory and practice with core competencies.

To enhance the representation of people of color in the public schools, Antioch addresses diversity and equity issues in every course offered. Discover how education can be a powerful vehicle for social change.
